Privacy Policy

ConnectAble Inc.  |  Last updated: September 1, 2026 ConnectAble Inc. (“ConnectAble,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides technology and support for adult education and literacy programs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit getconnectable.org, communicate with us, subscribe to communications, request a demonstration, or use products and services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy does not replace a customer agreement, data processing agreement, or other contract. If a customer organization uses ConnectAble to manage information about learners, staff, volunteers, or other individuals, the customer generally determines why that information is processed and ConnectAble processes it on the customer’s behalf. Questions about that customer-controlled information should usually be directed first to the organization that collected it.

1. Personal Information We Collect

  • Comply with legal obligations; enforce agreements; establish or defend legal claims; and protect the rights, safety, and property of ConnectAble, our customers, users, and others.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual, and use that information for lawful business purposes.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
  • Service providers. We may provide information to vendors that support hosting, cloud storage, analytics, email and newsletter delivery, text messaging, communications, customer support, security, payment processing, and other operations. They are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to appropriate contractual obligations.
  • Customer organizations and authorized users. Information may be available to the organization that provides your account and to users it authorizes, consistent with that organization’s configuration and instructions.
  • Business and community partners. We may disclose information when you ask us to, direct us to, or consent to a joint activity, integration, event, referral, or other service.
  • Legal, safety, and compliance purposes. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, contract, or government request, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property; prevent harm; or investigate unlawful activity.
  • Organizational transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, or similar transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
  • With your direction or consent. We may disclose information for other purposes that we explain when the information is collected.
ConnectAble does not sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by law.

4. Customer Data and Education Programs

Customer organizations decide what information they place in the Services, who may access it, how long it is retained, and the purposes for which it is used. ConnectAble processes that information to provide the contracted Services and according to the customer’s documented instructions, applicable agreements, and law. Depending on the customer and program, customer data may include education-related or program-participation records. ConnectAble does not claim ownership of customer data. Customers are responsible for providing required notices, obtaining required permissions, configuring access, and responding to requests from individuals when they act as the data controller or business. ConnectAble will provide reasonable assistance as required by contract and applicable law.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that may be necessary for site operation, security, accessibility, forms, preferences, and measurement. The website may use third-party services, including Google analytics or tag-management services and a newsletter provider such as SendFox. These providers may receive device, usage, cookie, and contact information under their own terms and privacy notices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, when available, through our site controls. Blocking some cookies may affect site features. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no uniform industry standard; where required, we will recognize legally mandated preference signals.

6. Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages, we use your mobile number and consent information to provide the requested messaging program. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply. You may opt out by replying STOP and may request help by replying HELP or contacting us. We do not sell your SMS opt-in, consent status, or mobile number, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing. We may provide this information to telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, and other vendors solely as needed to deliver and support the messaging program or as required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, honor customer instructions, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect security. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship, contractual requirements, legal requirements, and operational needs. Customer data is retained and deleted according to the applicable customer agreement and the customer’s instructions. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until overwritten or deleted through ordinary backup processes, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, taking into account the nature of the information and the risks involved. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision regarding a request. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. ConnectAble will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. To submit a request, use the contact information in Section 14. Please describe your request and your relationship with ConnectAble. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law; for verified California requests, this is generally within 45 days, subject to a permitted extension. If information was submitted by or for a ConnectAble customer, please contact that organization first. We may refer the request to the customer or assist the customer in responding.
